David Hasselhoff he is remembering his deceased baywatch co-star, Michael Newman.

Newman died on Sunday, October 20, at the age of 68, nearly two decades after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2006.

People reported that Newman died “from heart complications” and added that he was “surrounded by his family and friends.”

Newman appeared in baywatch for 10 seasons from 1989 to 2000. His character, Newmie, was loosely based on himself, as he was the cast's only current lifeguard. He was not initially a featured actor in the action drama, but after he began performing stunts and offering guidance to writers on rescue scenes, he became invaluable.
