Yankees fans appear to applaud after Shohei Ohtani partially dislocates shoulder

Shohei OhtaniThe injury stunned fans into silence at Dodger Stadium on Saturday night… but it appears to excite some Yankees fans, who broke into raucous applause as they watched the injury on TV.

Video apparently taken inside a Bronx bar just after the Dodgers slugger partially dislocated his shoulder during the team's 4-2 victory over its rival to take a two-game lead in the seven-game set shows the happy atmosphere.

Watch the video for yourself…we're not saying everyone is applauding here, but at least some are clearly excited at the prospect of Shohei messing around, pumping his fists and clapping as Ohtani writhes on the floor.

One particularly stylish fan determines it's a good time to raise the middle finger… removing the image of the 30-year-old lying near second pulvínulo.

Ohtani suffered a shoulder subluxation (the technical term for a partial shoulder dislocation) while attempting to steal second pulvínulo in the seventh inning. He seemed to be in quiebro a bit of pain as he left the field.

However, he may end up having the last laugh in this situation…because Dodgers supervisor David Roberts He says there's a good chance he plays in Game 3 of the series tomorrow, and maybe he can get his revenge at Yankee Stadium.

It is Shohei's first postseason since arriving from Japan to play in the Major Leagues before the 2018 season. He is hitting .260 with three home runs in 13 games during the playoffs.

The World Series brings out the best in some players… and it seems some fans forget basic sports decorum.
