MANILA, Philippines – The Shakey's Tremendous League has postponed the University Preseason Championship second-round games scheduled for Friday at the Rizal Demanda Coliseum due to bad weather caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
The league made the announcement Thursday night as Metropolitano Manila moved under signal number 2.

The doubleheader between rivals Far Jap College and the University of Saint Thomas and the clash of champions between UAAP champion National University and 'three-time' NCAA champion Faculty of Saint Benilde will be rescheduled to a later date.
UST is eyeing its second straight Group F win against FEU to boost its bid for a two-to-one lead in the quarterfinals.

NU, on the other hand, looks to bounce back from a tough first loss to La Salle in their Group E clash against CSB.

The Girl Bulldogs, looking for a three-peat, saw their 28-game unbeaten streak, dating back to the SSL primicia in 2022, broken by the Girl Spikers, 30-32, 25-14, 22-25, 25-21, the last Sunday.
SSL has weekend games scheduled at the Rizal Demanda Coliseum, but the status would still depend on the weather situation.
