Florence + the Machine are among Taylor SwiftThe last collaborators of, but she has been friends with the lead singer. Florence Welch for at least a decade.

Swift said Billboard from Welch: “She's the funniest person to dance with at a party, but five minutes later you find yourself sitting on the stairs with her having a deep conversation about love and heartbreak.”
In the midst of those deep conversations, the England native reached out to Swift for advice after their relationship fell apart. “I know it sounds cliché, but it's good to talk to her about boys,” Welch said. The Sunday Times Magazine. “She knows what she's doing.”
Welch recalled receiving advice from a group of celebrities at Swift's New York City apartment at an impromptu pizza party after the Met Gala. “Lena Dunham was there, and Spike Jonze and Reese Witherspoon and Zoey Deschaneleating pizza, talking about boys,” Welch recalled. “I had already asked many taxi drivers and everyone I knew. [for advice]So I thought, why not Taylor Swift and Spike Jonze too?
However, she did not share her specific vision. “I don't want to get into it too much, but they were very helpful.”

Welch said he hoped to see Swift 1989 tour when asked about a possible guest appearance.
“Our agendas haven't crossed enough, but obviously I would love to act,” he said. USA today. “Mainly, I just want to see the show. “It saddens me that I haven't been able to do it yet, but I really want to do it.”

Before the ceremony, Welch clarified while in MY! Live from the red carpet that Swift did not inspire her to write the album. However, her friend gave her the confidence to publish such a weak record.
“Well, actually it was after I finished the record.
