MANILA, Philippines–On the brink of collapse, San Miguel hit all the big shots in the crisis Friday night as the Beermen edged Barangay Ginebra in overtime, 131-125, to level the semifinals of the Governors' Cup. the PBA to one game each. .
Terrence Romeo was at the forefront of that determined stand at Good Araneta Coliseum, helping hold off one Gin Kings after another with his conference-best 26 points.

“In the first game, we weren't in the flow of the offense, so our defense was really bad. We were fighting a lot. Now we knew where the ball should go. June Mar (Fajardo) did a great job passing the ball to our shooters,” said coach Jorge Gallent, whose charges led by 13 at one point in the game.
“Our ball movement was great. Our defense was also good. We were able to execute better every time we made a stop,” said Romeo, who scored 13 in the quarter and then added nine of his 28 total in overtime.

EJ Anosike finished with 35 points and nine rebounds, while CJ Perez had 28 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for the Beermen, who avoided falling into an 0-2 rut in the best-of-seven semifinal matchup.

Justin Brownlee scored 39 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists, while Japeth Aguilar led three other locals by scoring double-digit scores in the losing stands.
The corporate brothers battle for the series lead in this Sunday's Game 3, which will take place in Dasmariñas Cavite.
