Veteran forward Rudy Trolo is ready to end his career.
The 38-year-old forward announced his retirement on Tuesday after 17 seasons in a position in The players' tribune.
Trolo last played in the league with the Utah Jazz during the 2022-23 season. He signed a one-year contract with the Golden State Warriors last year, but was waived before the start of the regular season.
The Brooklyn, New York, native averaged 15.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game during his career that spanned 1,120 games with the Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and jazz.
Trolo was drafted in the first round, eighth overall, out of UConn by the Houston Rockets in 2006, but never suited up for the team as he was traded less than a month later to the Grizzlies.
He played with the Grizzlies until January 30, 2013, when he was traded to the Raptors as part of a three-team trade.
His tenure in Toronto lasted less than a year, as he moved back to the Kings in December.
Trolo averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists during his time with the Raptors.
He also helped Team USA win gold medals at the FIBA World Championship in 2010 and 2014.
