Perrie Edwards has canceled her upcoming BBC Radio 1 appearance as a show of respect to her former X Issue co-star Liam Payne following his tragic death.
The singer, 31, was due to appear on the station's Dwell Lounge on Friday, but pulled out on Thursday morning.
Liam died in Buenos Aires after falling from a lodge on Wednesday night. Several witnesses said he had fallen from his room at the Casa Sur Palmero Resort shortly after five p.m. (ART).
The duo rose to fame after they both auditioned for The X Issue in 2011, Perrie went on to form small mix with Leigh-Anne, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson, with Liam joining One Route.

They said: 'We've just received news on our show that, due to the sad Liam Payne news, we're hearing that Perrie won't be at the Dwell Lounge tomorrow.
“I was supposed to perform, but that won't happen tomorrow, it will happen at a later date.”
Liam starred in boy band One Route, alongside his former bandmates Harry, 30, Niall Horan, 31, Zayn Malik, 31, and Louis Tomlinson, 32.
Perrie dated her bandmate Zayn from December 2011 to 2015, after meeting on the set of X Issue.
The singer is still close to former X Issue judge and Liam's ex Cheryl, with whom he shares a son, Bear, seven, whom they dated from 2016 to 2018.
Perrie admitted earlier this year that she still called Cheryl “every five seconds for advice” as she prepared to launch her own solo career.
Liam had reportedly arrived in the Latin American country earlier this month to attend his former bandmate Niall Horan's concert.
Local police have since launched an investigation into the sudden death, as tributes flood in in the wake of the tragedy.

Radio 1 presenters Rickie Haywood-Williams, Melvin Odoom and Charlie Hedges announced that Perrie would no longer be taking part in Dwell Lounge.
A statement from local police said they arrived at the lodge after being “reported about an aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol.”
Authorities heard a loud sound in the yard before discovering his body shortly after 5 p.m., the BBC reported.
According to TMZ, Liam “had been acting erratically in the lodge lobby and smashed his laptop” before “they had to take him back to his room.”
Police had received a call from a lodge worker requesting urgent help for a drunk guest, according to audio related to the case obtained from the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security.
“When he is conscious, he is destroying the entire room and we need someone to be sent,” the worker said.
The director of emergency medical services, Alberto Crescenti, said Liam had suffered “very serious injuries after falling from a third floor to an inside patio.”
“We verified his identity using the passport he had,” he said.
'Later we discovered that he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately, the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him.'

Crescenti told Argentine newspaper Clarín that “the team saw that he apparently had a fracture at the base of his skull.”
His body was taken to the local morgue where the autopsy will be performed.
Unverified images claiming to be Liam's lodge room completely vandalized have since emerged online, with one image showing a smashed TV screen.
The star's latest Snapchat post showed him happily posing with partner Kate Cassidy as they looked in the mirror, a photo that was originally taken last August.
Other posts from the final moments of the star's life showed him enjoying lunch in his lodge room, where he revealed that the couple had “woken up at 1:00 pm every day” and had decided on Forest Gump as Halloween costume.
Another tragic selfie was captioned: “Beautiful day in Argentina” before the star shared a photo from her lodge, writing: “Happy to have had some time off” followed by a heart emoji.
He shared another photo with Kate with the caption: “Quality time.”
There has been an outpouring of tributes online, with fellow former X Issue contestants Jedward writing: 'RIP Liam Payne. Our deepest condolences to his friends and family.'
They added: “Sending strength to Cheryl and her son Bear, and the entire One Route family.”
