MANILA, Philippines—Scottie Thompson knows that Barangay Ginebra needs to do much more to stop San Miguel Beer's most formidable weapons: twin towers June Mar Fajardo and EJ Anosike.
After the Gin Kings' 131-121 loss in Game 4 of the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals, Thompson lamented his team's frustrated attempts to stop Fajardo and Anosike in their best-of-seven series until the moment.

Fajardo, in typical MVP fashion, had 29 points and 16 rebounds for the Beermen, while Anosike had 27 points and 11 rebounds, spoiling an amazing performance by Justin Brownlee, who finished just two points shy of his career-high 49 points. .

But with how close the series has been, Thompson expects his team to make the necessary adjustments with the semi-finals virtually a best-of-three.

“We knew this was going to be a very tough series for us, so all we can do now is keep going. We played a bad game but the series is tied. We still have a chance. Now it's a best of three,” said Thompson, who finished with 15 points, eight assists and four rebounds in the loss.
“Whatever game plan we have for next, I hope we can execute it. We know that it is a champion team. “They know how to play, especially in sequences like this, so we really have to step up our efforts.”
San Miguel Beer and Ginebra face off for the right to a 3-2 lead on Friday at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.
