Olivia Rodrigo has indulged in an Australian rite of passage as she kicks off the Australian leg of her Guts tour this week with sold-out shows in Melbourne.
The American pop star, 21, gushed about her love for the land of Down Beneath on stage at her second show on Thursday.
Before performing her hit song So American at the Rod Laver Area in front of around 15,000 fans, Olivia revealed she has been embracing Australian classical traditions.
“You guys are awesome and you live in the coolest city ever,” he gushed.
'I really love this city a lot. I've been exploring, met some of you, had a great Australian breakfast, very good.'
“Today I tried a Tim Tam for the first time in my life; 10 out of 10, it gets my approval.”
The iconic Australian cookie is enjoying a resurgence of fame among visiting international artists who have embraced the Tim Tam Slam tradition.

While sitting cross-legged in her resort suite, she was also surrounded by six-packs of various flavors as she fully embraced the tradition.

The video appeared just hours before she unveiled an impressive tracklist full of fan favorites including Driver's Licence, Good 4 You and Happier from her debut album Bitter.
He also performed his current hits from his acclaimed second album Guts, including Love is Embarrassing and Get Him Again.

It is believed to be the first time Olivia has sung the song on her Guts tour.
Footage of the TikTok highlight was shared by concertgoer Katerina Walczak and sent Olivia's followers around the world into a frenzy.
Many shared their jealousy for not having seen the singer perform All I Need at other live shows.
One wrote: “I'm so jealous, I love All I Need so much.”
Another said: “No one understands how crazy this is.”
Elsewhere, one lucky Australian fan inspired mass envy earlier this week when she shared a private interaction with the pop star, whom she spotted in Melbourne on Tuesday.
A third shared: “No, you guys got lucky at the next level today,” while a fourth gushed: “I've actually never been more jealous.”

Bianca Miolo, 22, approached the world famous hitmaker on Peel St in Collingwood and filmed her interaction with the Jealousy singer, Jealousy.
The aspiring artist asked her if she had any advice on how to make it in the music business, and Olivia gave her a sweet message in response.
“Just do things every day, keep going until you get good quality,” Olivia said in the video, which delighted fan Bianca uploaded to TikTok.
Olivia also stopped to pose for a couple of quick photos with the fan, making a peace sign with another girl's arm around her shoulder.
Olivia, who became an overnight sensation when she released Driver's License in 2021, is currently traveling the world on her first stadium tour and taking in the sights.
