Growing misinformation spread by politicians in the run-up to the US presidential election is threatening the integrity of the electoral process, said FRANCE 24 international affairs commentator Douglas Herbert. Citing fact-checking organization PolitiFact founder Invoice Adair, Douglas said “emotions and feelings” have now overtaken facts that are often considered “emotionally charged.”
