Mario Balotelli has stated that he would “crush” a possible return to Serie A as he seeks what would be the twelfth club of his historic career.
The former Manchester Metropolis player has been without a team since leaving Adana Demirspor of the Turkish Tremendous Lig during the summer as a free agent.
During his time in Türkiye, Balotelli scored seven goals in 16 games and is believed to be looking for another challenge before he stops playing professional football.
Mail Sport reported earlier this month that it was reviewing an offer from Alicante team CF Intercity in the third division of Spanish football.
But the former Italy international has hinted he may be more interested in moving closer to home.

Streamer Enerix received little attention from Balotelli when he compared him unfavorably to Venice's Joel Pohjanpalo.
The 34-year-old left Turkish Super League side Adana Demirspor at the beginning of the summer.
Speaking about his career on streamer Enerix's Twitch Channel, Balotelli became enraged when he was compared to footballers plying their trade in Serie A.
When Enerix argued that Joel Pohjanpalo, currently playing for Venice, was a more sensible choice for a newly promoted team than Balotelli, the former Inter Milan star asked: “What the fuck are you saying?”
'Just because I wasn't in Serie A (in recent years), what I did doesn't count? Fuck you, you and Serie A.
“It's a promise, I will destroy Serie A when I sign (for a new club), I will destroy this damn Serie A.”
According to Italian football, Balotelli was recently thought to be linked with a move to Genoa.
Manager Alberto Gilardino is believed to have approached the 34-year-old in a bid to test out a move to the northern Italian side.
Balotelli last played in the Italian top flight in 2019, when he returned to his hometown club Brescia.
The former Manchester Metropolis star spent just one season at the club before being relegated.
If Balotelli returns to his home country, his arrival in the Italian top flight would mark the striker's first time playing in the league since his time at Brescia during the 2019-20 season.
The player signed a multi-year contract with his hometown club on a free transfer, but was unable to stay longer than his first season after the team was relegated to Serie B.
