Sir Alex Ferguson's immense treble-winning team of 1998-99 completed a feat few would have thought possible by winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
Although the 2022-23 Manchester Metropolis team equaled their achievement after several years of near-misses, the Crimson Devils retro team is still seen by many as the pinnacle of English football.
But how would serial winners fare in the contemporary Premier League landscape?
It's all starting! Co-host Chris Sutton has argued that David Beckham, Roy Keane and company would likely be the winners, even in the face of Guardiola's long-term dominance.
But the other voice of the Mail Sport podcast, Ian Ladyman, was a little more cautious about the prospects of transplanting the treble winners to the modern era.
Sutton was particularly passionate about the impressive quality and depth of the Man United squad, including the talent of super substitute and former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The former Celtic star added that the team had been his “favourite” team to follow.
