LeBron James is setting some boundaries when it comes to brony …making it very clear that he will not speak for his son, telling reporters that if they want to know anything about the Lakers rookie's experience, they can ask him directly.
The four-time NBA champion explained his stance during media availability on Monday… saying that Bronny is fully capable of answering his own questions.
“He's a grown man, ask him how he's handling it,” LeBron said of the Bronny-related question.
“He is a professional and can handle all those questions himself.”
Unfortunately for members of the media, Bronny wasn't on the agenda to speak on Monday…so you'll have to wait until his next session to hear him talk about his time in the Association.
King James' approach isn't surprising: In August, he explained, while the two are, of course, the first father-son duo to be on the same team… he wasn't giving Bronny any type of parental treatment at the Lakers facilities.
“No, he can’t. [call me dad]” he said in an episode of “The Store” on Uninterrupted. “You can't call me 'dad' in the workplace. “Once we leave the private facility and the doors close, I can be ‘dad’ again.”
Bron and Bronny will continue working on their craft before opening night…and it's expected They'll take the court together soon, if not in Game 1.
