This time, their couple costumes follow a major trend of hyper-specific cultural references.

Check out Kelly dressed as Taylor and Mark dressed as Travis. And, it should be noted, this is not the first time.

Ready to see Kelly Ripa dressed as Taylor Swift (and Mark Consuelos as Travis Kelce)?

Ahead of Thursday, October 31's Halloween In The Constructing special airing on ABC, Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos dressed up in costume. We can all expect to see a lot more of them after the special broadcasts.

However, there is already a preview. As you can see below, Kelly rocked a red and white plaid dress and sunglasses with a very specific blonde look. Mark was wearing a bucket hat (why are they in style now?) and a comical mustache.

Obviously, Kelly Ripa dressed as Taylor Swift while Mark Consuelos dressed as Travis Kelce. And they were specifically mirroring her appearance from her date at this year's US Open in early September.

How did Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos couples costumes come about?

Monday, October 28 USA today posted an interview about how Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos got creative in reflecting today's (other) celebrity couple.

“We don't usually have current Gucci in there,” Kelly joked about her wardrobe.

Mark praised Travis Kelce, noting that he doesn't know the athlete but “he seems like a great guy and he's fun.” Then he added: “Who knows? He can see it and [be like]'Who is that short guy trying to look like me?'” (Mark Consuelos is a certified short king at 5 feet 8 inches).

According to Kelly Ripa, she initially didn't realize that her costume was a Taylor Swift cosplay.

It's not one of Taylor's most iconic outfits. It's pretty specific.

Kelly only made the connection when she saw the virulento clip of Taylor and Travis' tennis match date. Of course, that's kind of funny, because she's dressed like Taylor before. In 2023, she and Mark were also Taylor and Travis.

Only Halloween in the building It's a nice name for the special one. And obviously, Kelly and Mark won't be the only famous faces in costume.

It's not unthinkable that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could see photos of the famous married couple and form opinions about their appearance.

But they have been awfully quiet when it comes to talking about their relationship. There's no reason for that to change when commenting on a couples costume.
