Joe Lycett has revealed that he has become a father for the first time.
The comedian, 36, surprised his fans on Friday when he shared a sweet photo of himself cradling his newborn son on Instagram.
The news comes after the television comedian confirmed his romance with a secret girlfriend.
Alongside the image, Joe wrote on Instagram: 'A thank you post from me for the extraordinary @bham_womens hospital.
'My first encounter with them was years ago when they cared for a friend of mine during surgery, and then more recently when they masterfully welcomed a little boy into the world, who turns out to be my son.

'The care and compassion he and his mother received were exceptional; from prenatal classes, amazing midwives, consultants, doctors, nurses and continuing care in the community. We also loved their roast potatoes. Birmingham is very lucky to have them and I will always be grateful for everything they have done.

The sugestivo image sees Joe wrapping his black coat around the baby, who is dressed in a blue knitted hat, as they take a stroll outside.
The star is seen tenderly looking at her son as she carefully holds him to her chest.
Fans were quick to send their congratulations to the comic, although many suspected this could all be an elaborate prank, something the star is well known for.
Comments included: “I can't tell if this is satire, but I'm here for it either way.”
“I congratulate you, but I also think it's you and could easily be a puppy/kitty/gearbox with that hat.”
“I never know what's current and what's not when Lycett is involved.”

However, Birmingham Girls's Hospital added a heartfelt comment saying: “Huge congratulations again to everyone.” We are so proud to have supported him through this incredible, life-changing milestone. We wish you all the best and many wonderful hugs for the future.”
While several other celebrities including Judi Love, Clara Amfo and John Whaite offered congratulatory messages.
The news comes after Joe recently opened up about his sexuality and opened up about his secret girlfriend 'Denise'.
Speaking on Bimini Bon-Boulash's The Items podcast, Joe gave a rare insight into his love life as he opened up about using a fake name for his partner in a bid to keep his identity a secret.
He said: 'So I've got Winston the cat and my partner Denise. And, um, her name isn't Denise, but I'm not talking about her, because she has a job and can't be in the public eye.
“I call her Denise because she hates the name Denise, so I live with Denise.”
Joe, who has spoken openly about his sexuality in the past, later spoke to former Ru Paul's Drag Race star about being pansexual.
He shared: 'Well, it's interesting now to be in a long-term relationship with a woman because a lot of people are like, sorry, what? There was a brief period when I was at school where I thought that because I was attracted to men, I was gay, and then I thought, wait, wait, wait.'
'Then I use the term hermafrodita when someone asks me and I just want to give a quick answer because people understand it.
“But I think the most accurate way to describe myself is pansexual, in the sense that I'm not attracted to people, just because of their gender.”
