“In marriage, you will get on each other's nerves,” he continued. “But at the end of the night, you have to refocus on the things they do very well and that will keep you going.”
Simon and Hill first connected on the set of players. The couple got engaged in 2017 and married the following year. Hill later adopted Simon's daughter Kennedy, whom she welcomed from a previous relationship. Simon and Hill expanded their family with their son Levi in 2019.

“My son's social calendar is bigger than mine. When we put him to sleep, Dulé and I say, 'Let's sit here in silence for 45 minutes,'” he joked. “Our son goes to bed at 7, so we sit there until 7:45, stunned, and then at 8, we try to figure out our lives.”
While fatherhood has its ups and downs, Simon gushed about Hill being the “best partner.”
“Parenting is the ghetto. OK. It's the hood. “That's why it's called fatherhood,” he joked. “It has brought us closer because we are in this together. We just look across the couch and think, 'Wow, that was a day,' but it's important to have a partner.”
Simon hopes that her and Hill's relationship has been a good example in showing her children “that true love is positivo” and that one day her children will find a genuine relationship like hers and Hill's.
“Mommy and daddy love each other,” he gushed. “And may I find a love that we have. You just have to look. All you have to do is watch.”
