Jason Kelce had a rude awakening on Saturday when he hilariously missed a field goal just weeks after hitting NFL kickers.
Kelce was invited to participate in Pat McAfee's famous Penn State kicking contest on ESPN's School Recreation Day.
McAfee, a former NFL kicker with the Indianapolis Colts, challenges a fan to make one kick each week in exchange for a cash prize.
Last month, on the Kelce brothers' New Heights podcast, Jason demanded that NFL goals be reduced because kickers are having too much influence on games.
In response, McAfee challenged the Philadelphia Eagles legend to attempt a kick in exchange for a $100,000 donation to the hurricane relief fund.
Jason Kelce comically missed a field goal in Pat McAfee's kicking contest on ESPN on Saturday
Kelce, wearing Timberland boots, made his first attempt with a left toe in front of hundreds of people.
Kelce said on the podcast: 'We need to cut down on these field goals.
“Now it's too easy to shoot field goals. We have to go to the rugby goals. Kickers shouldn't influence football games as much as they do now.
'We need to make kickers much less valuable. Football is not about that. Connor Barwin and I said this about ten years ago. We need to get specialists from the NFL.”
Kelce proved Saturday that kicking isn't easy after making the short trip from Philadelphia to Penn State.
Wearing Timberland boots, Travis Kelce's brother launched his effort to the left of the posts.
McAfee then gave Kelce a second chance for a charitable donation, but that attempt was much worse.
It comes just weeks after Kelce mocked NFL kickers in front of McAfee in New Heights.
McAfee then gave him a second chance, but Kelce swerved again in front of hundreds of fans.
Kelce hilariously admitted afterwards, “I'm a disaster at kicking.”
Speaking about his trip to Penn State on this week's episode of New Heights, Kelce told his brother Travis, “I'm officially going to Glad Valley, to Penn State this week to try to kick.”
'I never have been. I've never been to Penn State, Glad Valley. I've gone fly fishing in the area, but I've never been to State School, so I'm excited about this.
'I'm going to have to hold on. You can't do a soccer style kick with [Timberlands] in.
'You're not getting proper ankle flexion, so I'll have to go to Lou Groza. I'm going to have to hold on… The chance of this turning out well is slim.'
