Despite US concern over Israel's bombing campaign in Beirut, there were a series of attacks around Lebanon's capital on Wednesday. The Israeli army says it is attacking Hezbollah strongholds, but more than 2,000 people have been killed and nearly 11,000 wounded, many of them civilians.
