A former Rangers star was arrested and reportedly found to have alcohol in his blood after hitting a motorcyclist in Colombia.
Alfredo Morelos reportedly swerved into the oncoming lane to try to overtake and collided with a cyclist and a truck.
The police confirmed that they had arrested the Atlético Nacional forward and that “he was driving under the influence of alcohol (grade two).”
The motorcyclist was hospitalized with fractures in his extremities and blunt trauma to the stomach, according to local media reported through the Colombian newspaper. The Time.

The accident occurred near the José María Córdova airport, in Rionegro, Antioquia.
MiOriente Regional Outlet reports that the accident occurred around 10 a.m. local time on October 23 in an area known as Curve del Gordo.
It was also MiOriente who identified the motorcyclist as Sebastián Guillermo Dávila. He is said to be in “positive” condition in the hospital.
Morelos spent six seasons at Rangers and left for the iconic Santos club at the end of the 2023-23 season.
He scored 124 goals in 169 games for the Ibrox club and was part of the team that won the Scottish Premiership with Steven Gerrard, also lifting the Scottish Cup and reaching the last of the Europa League.
The Colombian international has been on loan in his homeland with Atlético Nacional this year and has made rapid progress, with seven goals in 14 appearances.
He had managed only four goals in Santos and promised to bring his best form to Colombia.
“I will score a lot of goals, I will play good football, that is what I did in Europe,” he said upon arrival.
Morelos spent six seasons with Rangers, winning a league title and a national cup.
