AFL great Matthew Richardson has sent football fans into hysterics by sharing hilarious footage of him falling into his backyard pool while doing some housework recently.
The Richmond icon posted the view from her home security camera on Instagram along with the caption: “How's your day going?” My capercaillie, thanks for asking' accompanied by a facepalm emoji.
Richardson is seen walking around the pool in the footage, picking leaves out of the water with a net before losing his balanceo around a corner and ending up in the drink.

'Richo' (pictured with wife Genevieve Vacation at this year's Australian Football Antesala of Fame ceremony) saw the brighter side of his embarrassing faux pas.
The embarrassing incident was a hit with football fans, who left dozens of laughing and crying emojis in their responses.
'Buddy! That's the best!!' one wrote.
'I don't know what's more fun. Falling into the pool or the use of that amazing word “grouse”… it’s not used enough these days,” said another.
Other comments included “Definitely a push in the back,” “I'm watching again and again,” “Ahhh Richy made my day,” and “I hope you had a good trip?” See you next fall.'
Richardson gave his followers something else to laugh at when he posted the footage on ”.
“You made a clandestine publication about your clancracy,” one pointed out.
“It is very special to also be able to make noise in spelling… that is a gift,” added another.
The Richmond legend (pictured left during an AFL all-star game) launched another scandal when he posted the images on X.
Several commentators also compared the incident to Australian cricket star Alex Carey falling into a pool at the team's lodge in Pakistan during a tour in 2022.
Footage of Richardson enjoying some time off also caused the Tigers legend some pain earlier this year when he was criticized for his lack of golf talent.
Two-time Major champion and former world No. 2 Bubba Watson was in Adelaide for a LIV Golf event when he was invited to check out Richardson's golf swing.
When presented with video of Richardson missing the ball on a drive attempt, Watson was asked for advice on improving Richardson's technique.
“Oh, wow,” Watson responds.
'What did he do wrong?' asked Channel Seven presenter James Brayshaw.
“He missed the ball, that's the most important thing,” responded the 45-year-old American.
“But man, he looks athletic when he prepares for it.”
“The setup is good, Bubba,” Richo can be heard saying in the background with a big smile on his face.
“The setup was there,” Watson agreed. “It seemed like the ball was going to travel for miles.
“And then it went nowhere.”
In March, 'Richo' clashed with his new Seven colleague Kane Cornes for what was supposed to be a light-hearted sledge aimed at Richmond premiership winner Trent Cotchin.
Cornes mocked Cotchin's appearance and delivery in a segment on rival network 9's Sunday Footy Present, using a monotone delivery intended to imitate the former Richmond captain.
Richardson was not amused and also chastised Cornes for trying Geelong's great Sevens analyst Joel Selwood.
“I’m making fun of two AFL premiership captains.” The bar is getting lower,” Richardson posted on social media.
