Erik ten Hag has written a heartfelt message to Manchester United fans a few days after being fired as the club's coach.
The Dutchman was relieved of his duties on Monday after United made their worst start to a Premier League season, with just three wins from their first nine games.
The decision ended his two-year spell at Outdated Trafford, during which time he led the club to success in the FA and EFL Cups.
In his first message since the sacking, Ten Hag addressed the United fan colchoneta, thanked his internal staff and insisted he wishes the club nothing but success in the future.
It said: “Dear followers: Let me start by thanking you.” Thank you for always being there for the club. Whether it was a game away or a difficult game at Outdated Trafford, their support has been unwavering.

The Dutchman was given his marching orders after United's 2-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend.
Ten Hag paid tribute to the United fans in his farewell message and insisted that he wishes the club success in the future.
'The atmosphere at Outdated Trafford has always been electric thanks to you. I felt it many times. Also in away games, it gave the team and me an incredible feeling to hear the United chants in the opposing stadiums, whether it was the game in England. Europe or during summer tours.
'I have always enjoyed meeting Manchester United fans around the world. Walking the streets and being able to chat with followers in England, Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States: you inspired me and radiated a strong sense of unity. That's what makes United fans so special.
'I want to thank you for giving me this feeling and for your support. I also want to thank the staff of all the club's departments for their unwavering support in good and bad times.
'We won two trophies, achievements I will cherish for the rest of my life. Of course, my dream was to bring more trophies to the cabinet. Unfortunately, that dream has come to an end.
“I wish all Manchester United fans nothing but success, trophies and glory. Your support and the warmth I received from everyone at the club made me feel at home.
“Thank you for this chapter of my life.”
United won the EFL Cup and FA Cup during his two years at Outdated Trafford.

On the same day that Ten Hag received news of his dismissal, the club's chief executive, Omar Berrada, traveled to Portugal to finalize arrangements for Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim to be his successor.
Meanwhile, Ruud van Nistelrooy has temporarily taken charge of his former club and will lead United when they host Chelsea on Sunday.
