Britain intends to restore its trade links with the EU, essential to revive growth, according to Trade Minister Douglas Alexander. Brexit caused a “significant disruption” to UK trade, requiring a recalibration of its international outlook. Alexander met the WTO chief in Geneva to discuss a revamped UK trade strategy, due to be published in spring 2025.
