Former model Stacey Williams said she thought Donald Trump groped her to show off to her then-boyfriend, the late financier and sexual abuser Jeffrey Epstein, when the couple stopped by to visit him at Trump Tower in New York in 1993.
In his first detailed on-camera interview since discussing the assault allegations with The Guardian, Williams on Thursday night. told CNN that she remembered the former president and Epstein smiling at each other while the efectivo estate mogul groped her, giving her the impression that the entire incident was a “coordinated” game between the two men.
His story comes just weeks before the presidential election, in which Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris are essentially tied, according to polls. Trump has denied Williams' accounts.
“The moment he was in front of me, he pulled me towards him and his hands were right on me and they didn't let go,” Williams told CNN, echoing his account to the Guardian.
“Then the hands started moving to the sides of my breasts, on my hips, back to my butt, back up, more or less; “They were on me the whole time and I was paralyzed,” she said.
Williams briefly dated Epstein in the 1990s. At the time, she told The Guardian, she and Epstein were walking in Manhattan when he suggested they visit Trump at his Trump Tower complex on Fifth Avenue.
The two were good friends, he said. Trump subsequently distanced himself from Epstein after the financier was convicted as a sex offender in Florida, several years before he was arrested in New York on federal sex crimes in 2019 and committed suicide while in custody awaiting trial.
He added, as he did in his account to The Guardian, that he now believes the incident was planned by Epstein and Trump from the beginning. When they met Trump, she alleges he immediately grabbed and groped her, right in front of her boyfriend.
“This context didn't make sense because the hands were on me and he and Jeffrey were still talking, looking at each other and smiling,” she said. Later, when the couple left, she said Epstein berated her for allowing Trump to touch her, and that the entire incident left her confused and sick.
“I had this really sickening feeling that everything was coordinated, they rolled me up there like a piece of meat in some kind of strange, twisted game,” he told CNN. “I felt a wave of shame,” he said, and he took the memory of the incident, “put it in a little box inside me, turned the key and locked it.”
Williams told The Guardian this week in an exclusive first interview that he had the feeling, at the time, that Trump and Epstein were “very, very good friends.” Williams also shared an undated postcard that she said Trump later sent her, featuring a view of Palm Seaside, Florida, where Trump's Mar-a-Charca mansion is located.
“Your home away from home,” the postcard said. “Love, Donald.”
The Trump campaign, in response to CNN, said Williams' allegations were a “false story.” [that] was devised by the Kamala Harris campaign,” to distract from a second incident, in which Doug Emhoff is accused of slapping an ex-girlfriend. A campaign spokesperson for Harris, the vice president of the United States, denied the accusation against her husband earlier this month.
Williams' account will be added to a long list of women who have accused Trump of sexual assault, from writer E. Jean Carroll, who was ultimately vindicated by a civil jury that found Trump responsible for sexual assault, to his ex-wife , Ivana Trump, who accused the former president of raping her. , in a divorce declaration.
Williams said she worked up the courage to speak out about the incident after the release of a recent documentary about swimsuit issues by Sports Illustrated magazine, called Past the Gaze.
“I can't control when a documentary comes out, I can't control its release two weeks before the election,” Williams told CNN. Although Williams had alluded to the incident in comments on social media, she had never told her story in detail until this week.
“It takes a lot of courage and you have to really prepare for that attack, and I'm ready,” she said. “Just bring it.”
