The Detroit Lions will be lacking an offensive weapon over the next two weeks.

According to a report by ESPN Eric Woodyard on Monday, Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams was suspended two games for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy.

Through Detroit's first six games of the season, Williams has 17 receptions for 361 yards and three touchdowns.

This will be the second time the 23-year-old WR has been suspended in his career, as he was also suspended for the first four games of last season for betting on NFL games in the 2022 season.

Williams told Woodyard that he is disappointed with this season's suspension, but “has no choice but to take it on the chin.”

“I'm in good spirits, ready to get back to my brothers as soon as possible,” Williams told ESPN.

The Lions started the season 5-1 and were tied for the NFC North division lead with the Minnesota Vikings.
