Matt Smith admitted he's as much in the dark as fans when it comes to the third season of Home of the Dragon, during an appearance at New York Comedian Con 2024 on Sunday.
The actor, 41, stars in the Sport Of Thrones prequel series as Daemon Targaryen, but revealed he has yet to see any scripts or hear anything about where the story will go in season three.
The second season of Home of the Dragon finished airing on August 4, after eight episodes.
The fantasy drama has been renewed for two more seasons, with the next installment set to premiere in 2026, with production beginning next year.
Over the weekend, Matt appeared on a panel on the show alongside co-stars Fabian Frankel (Criston Cole) and Tom Glynn-Carney (Aegon II Targaryen), where they were asked if they had seen any scripts for season three.

Matt repeated: 'I haven't heard anything about skin or hair. I don't know about you. I haven't heard anything… what about you?
But Fabián joked: “I've heard some things I couldn't share here.”
In August, showrunner Ryan Condal revealed that the series will end after four seasons, who added that the third season was currently in the writing process.
He said pre-production work on the series will continue this fall, with a production date planned for early next year.
The show's first season had 10 episodes, and the second season had eight, but when asked how many episodes the third season would have, Ryan said, “I haven't had any conversations with HBO about it.”
“I just anticipate that the cadence of the show, from a dramatic storytelling perspective, will remain the same starting in season two.”
While the first season focused almost exclusively on House Targaryen, season 2 introduces characters from Winterfell, home of House Stark, and other 'little ones' who live under the rule of the House of the Dragon.

Darren Aronofsky will direct from an adapted script written by author Charlie himself, with Darren producing with Jeremy Dawson, Dylan Golden and Ari Handel.
