An American Idol contestant who went viral after Katy Perry kissed him during his 2016 audition has been arrested for alleged possession of child pornography.
By TMZ Benjamin Glaze, 26, was arrested Friday afternoon after the Tulsa Police Department's Sexual Predator/Digital Evidence Recovery Unit received a tip.
Glaze was booked into the city's county jail and released on $50,000 bail that same night.
According to the police, a court order led them to discover more than 700 images and videos showing sexual abuse of minors on his mobile device.
Perry, 39, faced backlash for kissing then-19-year-old Benjamin after he told judges during his audition that he had never been kissed before.

After the viral on-air kiss, Benjamin came to Katy's defense in a lengthy social media post.
“I don't believe Katy Perry sexually harassed me,” he wrote at the time.
He added: “I felt uncomfortable because I had never been kissed before and I wasn't expecting it.”

Glaze was a teenager when he auditioned for American Idol in October 2015 with a self-written song called Stadium.
She received a lot of press for the lip lock, but she didn't win over the judges or progress in the singing competition.
“I wish I had performed better right now,” Benjamin, who comes from a conservative Oklahoma family, added in his Instagram statement.
He also said in retrospect: “I should have chosen another song to sing and calm myself down regardless of the kiss.” “I should have been able to perform under pressure.”
After the viral on-air kiss, Benjamin came to Katy's defense in a long post on social media.

He added: “I have to back Katy on that.” We (the judges) will be right sometimes and sometimes we will be wrong.
