'Torn'
After forming in training camp, One Path performed as a group for the first time during the judges' houses round. Tomlinson overcame a “very, very painful” sea urchin injury to sing alongside his new bandmates. The five teenagers were in their prime with their hair down as they sang Natalie Imbruglia's “Torn,” which they finally performed again during the season finale.
'Live Life'
Coldplay's classic was the group's first live X Factor performance, and although their harmonies were a little shaky on stage, the teenagers were enthusiastic. From Kinds and Payne's perfectly synchronized shoulder movement to Horan's permanent smile, it's clear that One Path was happy to be there.
'My life would be shit without you'
What's more about the 2010s than Kelly Clarkson? During their week 2 performance, the group seemed to have a more solid understanding of their sound and still shook their shoulders with all their might. His style on stage, however, had not quite clicked.
'Whole Eclipse of the Heart'
Despite some harsh criticism from Luis WalshOne Path held their heads high during week 4. The band took the Halloween-themed episode to heart, sitting on stage under eerie blue and green lights and fog. Their looks were completed with red eye makeup and fake blood as they delivered a powerful performance of the epic. Bonnie Tyler powerful ballad
'Children in America'
Pyrotechnics, cheerleaders and plenty of red, white and blue made this Week 5 performance hard to forget. This might even be the first time Tomlinson rocked what became a trademark of his style later in 1D's career: tight red pants.
'Summer of '69'
By week 8 the band had fully harnessed their charm and knew how to work the stage. The audience applauded along with the Brian Adams hit, and the children were joined by dancers dressed in red, white and blue costumes. While the group's voices had improved by this point in the competition, the same couldn't be said for their dancing.
'Your song'
In traditional One Path style, Payne's bold vocals kicked off the first verse of this emotional Elton John ballad. He stood on stage under a single spotlight before the rest of his bandmates joined the chorus. They were coordinated with gray hoodies and sweaters for the more moderate performance – except Horan, who opted for a bright red zip-up hoodie.
