Chantelle Otten has revealed that her beloved mother has died after a months-long battle with cancer.
The sexologist, 33, took to Instagram on Monday to share the devastating news with her 192,000 followers in a heartfelt tribute.
Chantelle, who is dating Paralympic athlete Dylan Alcott, confirmed that her mother Veronica tragically passed away on Friday after a private battle with leukemia.
She shared a gallery of beautiful photos of herself and her mother and wrote some emotional words in a long caption.
Chantelle described Veronica as a “force of nature” and praised her for her “unbreakable strength” as she reflected on her life.
He also described his mother's death as “unexpected” and said his entire family was coming together to support each other at this difficult time.
“I don't usually share much of my personal life here, but today is different,” he began his tribute.
'On Friday, October 11, at 10:15 am, my muse, my angel, my mother, Veronica Otten, passed away in my arms, surrounded by her beautiful children, her incredible husband, and her wonderful grandchildren.

'It was sudden, unexpected and too soon for someone who had so much light left to give.
'My mother was a force of nature in the gentlest way. Her beauty was not just in her presence but in the way she honored everything and everyone around her with love, kindness, and unwavering strength.
'She had a quiet elegance, a warmth that embraced everyone she met, and a wisdom that guided us all.
'Knowing her was knowing a pure, selfless and constant love. She was the best mother to us and a safe and welcoming space to many.
'Over the past few months, he battled leukemia and for the past four weeks, he battled complications in the ICU. She fought with the silent resistance that defined her, but in the end, her body could not heal.
“She was not meant to leave so soon and we are still trying to understand the depth of this loss.
'But in true Otten style, we leaned on each other, trying to bring levity to such a sad time. “I'm very lucky to have the family and the community that I have, very lucky.”
Chantelle continued by inviting those who knew Veronica to join her and her family on October 23 to celebrate her life.

“Those who knew her will understand how much her spirit and love touched us all,” he continued.
'We will celebrate her life on October 23, and if she brought joy to your life in any way, please reach out and join us.
'I haven't had a chance to tell everyone close to me yet, and I hope this post helps lift some of that weight as we navigate the next steps of planning, surviving and rebuilding.
'Thank you to everyone who has already reached out and to those who have been patient with me when I have not been able to respond. Please know that my family and I are incredibly grateful for all of your love and support.”
He concluded his post by urging people to donate blood, adding: 'For those who are able, I urge you to donate blood, plasma and register as a stem cell donor on Life Blood.
'These donations kept my mother alive until her last days. Keep your loved ones close.'
Her boyfriend, wheelchair tennis player Dylan, shared a sweet tribute to Chantelle's mother in the comments section.
He wrote: 'Queen V. One of the most beautiful people I have ever met. You had a huge impact on everyone from the moment you met them.
'Your kind and curious personality made you light up a room and you made sure everyone felt included. I am very grateful that you have come into my life. I love you and I love you Chantelle.'

Chantelle and Dylan have been dating for six years, since meeting at the release of her memoir In a Position in 2018.
