Hugh Jackman asks for help finding missing Broadway star Zelig Williams

broadway dancer Zelig Williams He has been missing for more than a week and Hugh Jackman is doing everything he can to spread the word in an effort to find him.

Jackman, 55, posted a plea for help via his Instagram Story on Thursday, October 11, asking anyone with information about Williams' disappearance to contact authorities.

“Zelig, we love you and pray for your safe return,” he wrote. “Please pass this message!!!”

Jackman and Williams appeared together on Jackman's 2019 concert tour, “The Man. The Music. The show.” Williams, 28, is also known for his work on Broadway, where he appeared in the jukebox musical “MJ the Musical,” based on the life of michael jacksonand in “Hamilton.”

Williams had worked as a dance teacher for children ages 11 to 18 in Columbia, South Carolina. He is described as a black man, 6 feet tall, with a light complexion, short hair and brown eyes, according to a missing person poster.

Williams was last seen on Thursday, October 3, leaving his mother's home in Columbia, South Carolina, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department. His parents reported him missing the next day. Williams' car was later found unharmed in a parking lot on Wateree Passage on Palmetto Path, and his phone sent an emergency message to one of his friends in New York City.

“Around 9:50 Thursday morning, he left like he normally would,” Williams' aunt said. Christine McLaughlin Barberohe told the South Carolina television station. LOOK. “About 10 minutes later, we received an SOS ping from his phone from one of his friends in New York, indicating a failure.”

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said a the search is underway “on foot [and] in the air of various places,” according to WIS10 in Colombia.

He added: “Other investigative techniques we will use involve cell phones and some other things that I don't want to discuss at this time.”

“Words cannot express what our family is going through right now,” he wrote. “Please continue sharing your photos and videos. The more we share, the more people will be able to spread the word to other states/countries. He has arrived in France, so let's keep flooding the deadlines to help Zelig return home. Please continue to pray, pray, pray for Zelig to return home safely. WE LOVE YOU ZELIG.”
