Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka They remain one of the most polarizing couples to have emerged love is blind season 7, especially after things got ugly between the two again at the recent reunion.
During the Wednesday, October 30, special, Hannah, 27, confronted Nick, 29, about comments she heard him make about her appearance, including him calling her a “grenade.” While Nick attempted to deny making the comments (he eventually muttered that he was “disappointed” by her appearance), several cast members, including Marisa George —He insisted that I say them.
“[Marissa] He was the one who told me about the grenade comment and the rating,” Hannah said. Usreferring to the system the men on the show used to classify women. “She had known about it in Mexico, but she kept it from me for a while because she didn't want to hurt my feelings, which I totally understand. … First of all, [I thought]'Why did you tell me before?' She told me, 'I don't want to hurt your feelings,' which is valid.”
The Netflix personality added that she didn't doubt for a second that Nick made the comments, acknowledging that there was a clear disconnect between the two when they met in current life.
“I feel like the grenade thing would just be something Nick would say,” she said. Us. “I knew he wasn't that sexually attracted to me or interested in me all the time, whether he said it or not. He made comments off camera where I knew [that] We weren't sexually compatible, it just wasn't working. And when I heard that, I wasn't surprised, but I think it just made me angry because I was so honest about his appearance.”
Hannah is the first to say she was “merciless” when she spoke of her disappointment over Nick's height after the couple left the pods.
“I shouldn't have done that, but I was honest about it and he felt exactly the same, but he just wouldn't say anything,” she admitted. “I think that's why he hurt my feelings. “If you felt that way, you should have told me.”
When asked if Nick's honesty could have helped the two develop a relationship, Hannah said she's not so sure.
“I think we have very different communication styles. “He feels exactly the same as me, but he does it secretly or tells his friends,” she said. “I am sincere. As soon as I met him, in Mexico, I thought: “Look, after the revelation, I got angry. I thought you were taller than me. I didn't think you were unattractive, you are really attractive. But at the time I just didn't feel that way.” He was like, 'Really? It was love at first sight for me.'”
She admits that she “would have respected” Nick more if he was honest and said something like, “Look, you're not conventionally the girl you'd go for, but I really want this to work because I love who you are.” and I think you are beautiful.”
“I don't think that would have hurt my feelings,” he explained. “I think I would have understood it a little better instead of being so confused.”
Hannah, however, insists that she loved Nick.
“I really think I was [in love with him]. We wouldn't have been together for so long if [not]”, said. “Yes, towards the end we are not good. But there were a lot of wonderful things about Nick and I think you don't see all the good times we had. We had many endearing and sweet moments in which [I felt] it could really work. Obviously, there were a lot more problems than good things and that's why we broke up.”
Elsewhere in the reunion, Hannah revealed that she found a list of Nick's “90 day goals,” which included being the “most famous” person in LIB. Nick claimed that the list was written “long before” he became part of the cast.
“I found the note about his 90-day goals right after we broke up. So we were talking a little about that. A week later I thought: 'Hmm, maybe off camera he could be different, when we're alone there are no cameras.' So I invited him just to make sure if we're compatible or not, we're not,” Hannah said. Us. “And I never saw him again. … We talked a couple more times and then everyone started telling me all the things he said behind my back, so he was blocked for the past year.”
