When Madison Brown criticizes her father, you know she has a good head on her shoulders.
Recently, sister wives Villain Kody Brown sounded dismissive and downright dismissive of many of his children.
He specifically singled out his daughter, Maddie Brown Brush.
Now, it seems she's responding to her father's displeasures with some of her own.
Madison Brown shares some advice
Taking to Instagram Story, Maddie Brown Brush shared a screenshot of a text post that reads: “Some advice.”
The post goes on to advise people to “never again be friends or family with a person who attempted to destroy your character, your integrity, or your relationships with others.”
Madison's apparent displeasure then says: “A snake only sheds its skin to be a bigger snake. If others are victims and turn away from you because of it, let them. …Sooner or later, the snake will bite them too.”
The words are not original to Maddie. And she doesn't refer to Kody Brown as her father or father or by name in the post.
Out of context, this could just be regular (sage) advice on how to keep toxic people out of your life.
However, in context, it seems clear to many sister wives fans that it was about Kody. They took to social media to cheer Madison Brown on as she (allegedly) responds to her father.
Web is decidedly Team Maddie as she criticizes her father.
“Poor Madison. I really feel for her. Imagine your own father standing up and criticizing you on national television. Although I have to say I'm proud of her for not letting it break her,” one of them said. Reddit citizen wrote.
“I feel sorry for her too,” another Redditor agreed. “I can't imagine waking up yesterday (or ever) to hear your father talk about you like that. “It's vile.”
An additional commenter chimed in: “Oooh. I feel so bad for her. She was so touchy when she asked her dad to be her officiant and named her second son after him and he was SO smug in return! “She tried with all her might.”
sister wives The fans are Team Maddie, and it's no surprise. Just as it's no surprise that he despises his father, or at least appears to. Kody recently went on a rant about Madison Brown specifically.
“They are purposely leaving me out of their lives to punish me for a crime I did not commit,” he complained.
Specifically, Kody complained that Madison had taken his children from him and had allegedly not told him that she was pregnant.
Is this about 'punishing' Kody?
When a family member breaks down or cuts off contact with someone, this is not a punishment. The “silent treatment” can be a punishment in toxic homes. However, going no contact is about your personal well-being.
Whether for physical safety or mental and emotional health, sometimes people need to cut contact with their family. Abusive parents, narcissistic relatives, and more don't have to be in your life forever, even if they were born into the same family.
When Madison Brown interrupts Kody, it's for her own good and that of her children. And when he criticizes his father, he is simply describing him accurately. Kody doesn't seem capable of bringing about current, positive change.
