Bathtub & Physique Works apologizes and removes candle with design comparable to a KKK hood

Bathtub & Physique Works is scrambling to remove a Christmas candle from its shelves… after the packaging was compared to hoods worn by the Ku Klux Klan.

The candle went viral on Tuesday when an X user posted a screenshot of the product, showing the “Snowed In” scent with a snowflake design on a red background.

However, it didn't take long for users to compare the print to the infamous KKK hoods, as they are also all white, with pointed tips and small holes cut into them.

Critics quickly called for the candle to be canceled… and for those behind the controversial product to be fired.

The company is now looking at the bigger picture and offering a mea culpa for inadvertently offensive home decor.

A spokesperson for Bathtub and Physique Works tells TMZ… “We are committed to listening to our teams and clients and correcting any mistakes we make, even unintentional ones like this one. We apologize to anyone we have offended and are working quickly to remove this item and [are] evaluating our process [going] forward.”

This marketing issue comes two years after the brand came under fire for their Black History Month sale… when they advertised everyday products as “limited edition” products after slapping new packaging on top of them.

At the time, critics were outraged by the lack of cultural sensitivity in his campaign.

Looks like another L for Bathtub & Physique Works.
