Apple's EU-mandated transition from Lightning to USB-C has already affected most of its {hardware}. However, there have been some stragglers. Near the top of the list are their desktop accessories, Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad. On Monday, the company finally addressed the issue.
Along with an update to the M4 for the iMac, Apple has started selling USB-C versions of its accessories. Prices remain the same as their Lightning predecessors: $199 for the Magic Keyboard with Contact ID and numeric keypad, $149 for the Magic TrackPad, and $99 for the Magic Mouse.
All three are available in black and white options. Versions with colors matching the new iMac will also be sent.
Unlike the new iMac, which won't start shipping until November 8, all accessories can be purchased now and shipped immediately. Beyond port swapping, not much has changed on the devices, until the oft-criticized decision to place the port on the bottom of the Magic Mouse.
The new iMac, the accessory update and the arrival of Apple Intelligence are the first of what the company promises to be a week of announcements. Recent rumors include the arrival of a new Mac Mini that measures around the same size as the Apple TV.
