MANILA, Philippines – Undefeated leader National University demolished Universidad del Este, 103-48 to inch closer to a spot in the Ultimate 4 in the UAAP Season 87 women's baloncesto tournament on Saturday in the Mall of Asia Area.

The Woman Bulldogs without Angel Surada asserted their dominance against the Woman Warriors. The 55-point victory was NU's 28th in a row against UE and was the Woman Bulldogs' most lopsided victory since the Woman Warriors' 92-31 season 85 drubbing on Nov. 13, 2022.

Camille Clarin stood out among the five Woman Bulldogs, who scored in double figures, after adding 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting, along with two rebounds, two assists and a steal to give NU a 9-0 record, a win by far. to secure a spot in the Ultimate 4.

NU missed Surada due to a minor injury, but others stepped up, including Ann Pingol, who had 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and a block. Jainaba Konateh also scored 12 points and had four rebounds and a steal. Tin Caybayab added 11 points, four rebounds and four assists, while rookie Gloria Pagdulagan contributed 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Ateneo snapped a three-game losing streak when Kacey Dela Rosa scored her 10th double-double to beat archrival La Salle, 70-57.

The reigning MVP, Dela Rosa, continued her dominant form with 28 points and 16 rebounds along with five steals to strengthen her hold on fourth place with a 5-5 record.
